As the debate on climate solutions and environmental action intensifies around the world the focus from June 5 – 12th will be the City of Bologna, Italy, where more than 70 events and spectacles will aim to raise the bar of awareness and involvement under the #All4TheGreen call to action. Launching on World Environment Day, June 5, the All4TheGreen week is presented in the lead up to and during the G7 Environment Ministers Meeting, under the auspices of the Italian G7 Presidency.
The week of activities and discussions will be promoted through an SDG Media Zone where discussion and debate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among some of the world’s top specialists, academics and activists will be channeled out to the world via social media to enable all individuals to participate online.
The SDG Media Zone will also create a groundbreaking ‘live link’ with the United Nations Oceans Conference in New York in order to highlight the critical importance of keeping the world’s oceans healthy for the well-being of mankind and bring the United Nations messages to Bologna.
The SDG Media Zone (#SDGLive) will welcome bloggers, high-level delegates, and influencers from the private sector and civil society, to communicate innovations and partnerships as a call to action for the world to engage the SDGs through a climate change lens.
The forum is organized by Connect4Climate, the World Bank Group’s global partnership for climate change communications, in collaboration with Pvblic Foundation, and in partnership with the United Nations and the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea.

The dramatic setting is Palazzo d’Accursio (Sala Tassinari) in Piazza Maggiore, Bologna’s central square where people have gathered for entertainment, discourse, learning and laughter for many centuries.
The Piazza will also be the location for solar-powered and Europe’s biggest open-air cinema screen which will show a diverse selection of environmentally focused films such as Beyond the Flood, and Racing Extinction to a seated audience of thousands, thanks to the partnership with the Cineteca of Bologna.

Throughout the week, numerous concerts, exhibitions, recitals, performances, dialogs and presentations will also take place across the city to emphasize the need for creativity and invention at both a personal and communal level, to support the notion that we are “all for the green,” a green transition to a low-carbon, resilient and sustainable future.
