The #All4TheGreen initiative is spearheaded by the World Bank Group's Connect4Climate and the Italian Ministry of Environment on the lead up to the G7 Environment.
SDG Media Zone (#SDGLive)
The SDG Media Zone will be a privileged space for discussion and debate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among some of the world’s top specialists, academics and activists will be channeled out to the world via social media to enable all individuals to participate online.
The SDG Media Zone will also create a groundbreaking ‘live link’ with the United Nations Oceans Conference in New York in order to highlight the critical importance of keeping the world’s oceans healthy for the well-being of mankind and bring the United Nations messages to Bologna.
The SDG Media Zone will welcome bloggers, high-level delegates and influencers from the private sector and civil society, to communicate innovations and partnerships as a call to action for the world to engage the SDGs through a climate change lens.
The forum is organized by Connect4Climate, the World Bank Group’s global partnership for climate change communications, in collaboration with Pvblic Foundation, and in partnership with the United Nations and the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land, and Sea.

9:45 pm Piazza Maggiore Punto di Non Ritorno - Before the Flood (2016, 96', produced, among others, by Leonardo DiCaprio), directed by Fisher Stevens
If you could know the truth about the threat of climate change — would you want to know? Before the Flood, presented by National Geographic, features Leonardo DiCaprio on a journey as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, traveling to five continents and the Arctic to witness climate change firsthand. He goes on expeditions with scientists uncovering the reality of climate change and meets with political leaders fighting against inaction. He also discovers a calculated disinformation campaign orchestrated by powerful special interests working to confuse the public about the urgency of the growing climate crisis. With unprecedented access to thought leaders around the world, DiCaprio searches for hope in a rising tide of catastrophic news. From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens and Academy Award®-winning actor, environmental activist and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio, Before the Flood presents a riveting account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change, as well as the actions we as individuals and as a society can take to prevent the disruption of life on our planet. Beyond the steps we can take as individuals, the film urges viewers to push their elected officials in supporting the use of alternative energy sources such as solar and wind power. “We need everyone to demand bold action from their political leaders and to elect representatives who have their best interests at heart, not the interests of corporations to perpetuate a cycle of greed and destruction,” says DiCaprio. “This documentary shows how interconnected the fate of all humanity is — but also the power we all possess as individuals to build a better future for our planet.”

9:45 pm Piazza Maggiore Collapse of the Oceans (2016, 50', an episode from thw Years of Living Dangerously series, produced, among others, by James Cameron), directed by Martha Jeffries
There is one place on Earth where the impacts of climate change are most profound and yet practically invisible: the oceans. As global emissions soar, the oceans are becoming warmer and more acidic, creating unbearable living conditions for all marine life and threatening precious ecosystems. Joshua Jackson travels to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef to look at the devastating impacts of ocean warming on the world’s largest reef system and the predicted impact of ocean acidification. In the Philippines, he looks at the impact of climate change in a place where hundreds of millions of people rely on healthy reefs for food, income, and protection from storms. Oceans, which cover 70 percent of the world, are crucial to our species’ survival. What will happen if our life-support system is disrupted? Without healthy oceans, we have everything to lose.
