Launched at the Cannes Festival in May to showcase public service announcements (> 60 seconds) and short films (1-5 minutes) about climate action, “… this competition represents a chance for young filmmakers to let their voices be heard in an impactful way. It allows participants to vividly illustrate the type of actions that need to be taken immediately and to show us the sort of world they want to be living in, and the world they want to leave for their children.”

칸 영화제에서 공식 발표된 이번 공모전은 14~35세 청소년 및 청년이라면 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 공모전 주제는 “나에게 ‘기후변화’란 어떤 의미일까?”, “기후변화를 막기 위해 하고 있는 우리의 노력들”, “내가 전하는 기후변화 메세지” 등이다.

La Competencia Global de Video Film4Climate es la pieza central de la iniciativa Connect4Climate para promover la sostenibilidad en las industrias creativas a través de un compromiso activo con los jóvenes y su búsqueda de soluciones al cambio climático.

Le principe est simple: chaque réalisateur doit produire un petit film ( entre 1 et 5 min) ou un spot publicitaire (d'une durée inférieure à 1 min) pour décrire les actions des citoyens ordinaires dans la lutte contre le changement climatique. La banque mondiale invite les réalisateurs du monde entier à participer à la compétition à condition qu'ils aient entre 14 et 35 ans et qu'ils soumettent leurs vidéos d'ici le 15 septembre.
