At the Berlinale (Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), one of the world’s leading film festivals, organizers of The Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG-30) announced they will honor the country of Italy at their event held on March 5 – 15, 2015. The festival will also feature the Film4Climate 2-day event, part of an initiative to green the film industry, initiated by Connect4Climate.
The Guadalajara International Film Festival, considered the most prestigious Latin America film festival, will feature 50 films and well as retrospectives dedicated to award-winning Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci and Italian cartoon animator Bruno Bozzetto.
The two-day Film4Climate event will be held on 9-10 March during the festival. The event will be dedicated to climate change awareness and communication, with panel discussions on greening the film industry and special screenings. All the winning Action4Climate youth films, which were chosen among 230 entries from 70 countries, will be shown at the festival. Mr. Bertolucci served as the President of the Jury of award-winning film directors, producers, and international organization representatives to selected the winners.
