It is time to remind ourselves how much food we’re wasting, and the cost of this on both our pockets and our population. At a time when the global economy is producing more food and making a greater profit than at any time in history, one could be forgiven for thinking that the issue of feeding the global population is yesterday’s news. However, both in the UK and across the world, we are wasting more food than ever before.
This has a huge financial cost and an even greater implication for humans, animals and the planet itself.
