Following a successful launch last year, TRANSITION Forum returns to Monaco on 26 and 27 June to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future through investment and collaborative climate action. Under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, TRANSITION mobilizes a multi-disciplinary community of global business leaders, policymakers, investors, innovators, scientists and members of civil society to find concrete solutions for humans to prosper while preserving our planet.
Under the theme "Shifting Towards Sustainable Lifestyles," this year’s Forum will focus on how people and organizations worldwide are responding to the ecological transition. Leading players from diverse sectors and industries will examine the paradigm shifts in key areas of daily life which have been impacted by climate change: Food, Mobility, Housing, and Production & Consumption. Registration for the event is still open, so if you have bold ideas on sustainability and would like to make yourself heard in Monaco, enroll here!
HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, who will give the opening address on 26 June, is a globally renowned environmental champion who is leading the Principality towards carbon neutrality by 2050. During the inaugural TRANSITION Forum, he said: “It gives me great satisfaction to welcome this event which offers hope and progress, and I’m counting on the TRANSITION Forum to contribute to our shared objective of offering a new horizon for this planet and its inhabitants.”
This year's program will bring together some 350 participants, including 50 high-profile international guests and representatives from 20 pioneering startup businesses, for a frank discussion of how best to implement eco-friendly plans of action in the spheres of Food, Mobility, Housing, and Production & Consumption moving forward.
“Global warming is compromising the future of humanity and we must create a new model of sustainable, low-carbon economic development before it is too late,” said Lionel le Maux, President of Aqua Asset Management and Co-Founder of TRANSITION Forum. “Our objectives are to increase the cross-sector partnerships and investments needed to scale innovative solutions which are key to helping the world achieve its sustainable development goals.”
