The 19th edition of CinemAmbiente - Environmental Film Festival will take place in Turin, Italy from May, 31st to June, 5th, the World Environment Day run by the United Nations Environment Programme. Submissions are open to environmental films produced after January, 1st 2015. The deadline is April, 10th 2016; in order to minimize the environmental impact of the festival, the entire procedure can be completed online, on this website.
International Documentary Competition, Italian Documentary Competition, International One-Hour Documentary Competition are thethree competition categories of the festival. In addition to them, also a non-competitive category is scheduled.

CinemAmbiente- Environmental Film Festival plays a leading role in the Italian and international film festival scene. It actually offers a preview of the most interesting outstanding environmental films of the year, besides hosting directors and opinion-leaders from all over the world. Furthermore, the “CinemAmbiente project” includes the distribution all around the country of films from the festival through CinemA mbiente Tour and CinemAmbiente TV, an audiovisual database addressed to schools. CinemAmbiente- Environmental Film Festival coordinates the Green Film Network, a worldwide coalition involving now more than 30 environmental film festivals, spread all around the globe.
Considering the undeniable need of dealing with environmental issues, the 19th CinemAmbiente aims to be a significant chance to focus on remarkably important contents and topics.
Directed by Gaetano Capizzi, the festival is jointly organized by the National Museum of Cinema in Turin and CinemAmbiente Association.
